Science department

The Department of Science has been working at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages since September 1, 2023. It supervises the research work of professors, students and post-graduate students, doctoral students, candidate of sciences, doctorate candidates, organizes and conducts scientific, scientific-methodical, scientific-creative conferences and competitions in accordance with a special program. 

Research groups work in the departments of the institute.  Scientific research on the important issues of linguistics, literature, comparative and comparative analysis of languages, methodology of teaching languages and literature, theory and practice of translation, pedagogy and psychology, social sciences are conducted in those groups. The obtained results find their expression in scientific articles and collections, textbooks and manuals, foreign scientific journals, collections of articles of international scientific and methodological conferences, newspapers.   

Students also participate in scientific research along with teachers.  The scientific works prepared by the students in foreign languages won the contests held by the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan among the young scientists of the country, and were awarded the President's Award.

The mobile application "Magtymguly's World", the electronic dictionary "Tm-UN Dictionary" prepared by the institute's teachers in the Turkmen language and the official languages of the United Nations (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese) are available to the public on the Internet.

The articles of teachers, graduate students, candidates and scientific staff on the important issues of linguistics, the science of studying literature, linguistic didactics, pedagogy, news about developments, information about scientific methods  is published in the scientific and methodological electronic journal "Issues of Philology" published at the Institute in Turkmen, English, and Russian languages and in which special emphasis is placed on innovations in important areas of scientific and practical research.

Currently, The Department of Postgraduate Studies, with 8 graduate students, 10 candidates for sciences working on 10.02.20 - Comparative-historical, typological and comparative linguistics, theory of translation, 13.00.02 - Theory and methodology of education and training (in relevant areas and levels of education) specialties, is also successfully operating at the Institute.
