In Independent, permenantly Neutral Turkmenistan, the Homeland of Peace, on July 22, 2022, the UNESCO Club “Languages of Peace” was established on the basis of the Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. Since that day, as the first UNESCO Club opened in the country, it has been promoting the achievements and relations established by our Motherland in cooperation with UNESCO in world languages. Guided by the philosophy of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag “Dialogue is the guarantee of peace,” the active members of the Club hold events of various levels. It organizes online forums, brain-ring intellectual competitions, various festivals, lectures and trainings at the national level to increase the literacy of young people about the days of UNESCO and our national calendar, relevant documents, conventions, our national values, and the national and multilateral recommendations being prepared. It actively cooperates with UNESCO Clubs and Departments operating in the country, building an indestructible bridge of friendship through languages. The Club actively uses modern opportunities for international cooperation in its work.
The TV program “Turkmenistan-UNESCO: Paths Spreading from the country”, prepared jointly with the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan, is regularly broadcast on the “Yashlyk” TV and Radio channel.
In addition, in order to create interest and enthusiasm in the younger generation of our country to study and learn world languages, the “Arkadag” TV channel and the “Yashlyk” TV and Radio channel broadcast “World of Languages” programs, which broadcast lessons on languages taught in our higher educational institution every day of the week. These lessons give a great impetus to the future-oriented development of the younger generation in cooperation with UNESCO.
