The Great Heritage of Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Bobur – an Indestructible Creation between the Friendly Peoples

The event dedicated to the 584th birth anniversary of the prominent poet and thinker Alisher Navoiy and the 542nd birth anniversary of the great Uzbek poet, philosopher and historian Zahiriddin Bobur took place at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. The Rector of the Institute Maksat Charyyev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Mr. Ravshanbek Alimov participated in the event. At the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, the representatives and the ambassadors of the diplomatic missions and international organizations of the foreign countries to Turkmenistan participated in the festive event as the distinguished guests.

Within the framework of the festive event dedicated to the celebration of the geniuses of the great Uzbek masters of words, the students of the higher educational establishment organized performances revealing the rich content of the literary heritage of Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur. On the stage of the conference hall of the higher educational establishment of the country, the poems were recited in the Uzbek and Russian languages which symbolically emphasizes the international importance of the lyrics of the great poets whose works have become a bridge between the mutual understanding of peoples and cultures.

In course of the solemn event, the guests got acquainted with the valuable information about the creative heritage of Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur in the context of the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation. Traditional tunes of the Turkmen and Uzbek melodies and dance performances of “Altyn Miras” creative group of the Institute were the decoration of the event.

Moreover, the winners of “The Geniuses of the World Literature” essay writing competition organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan and dedicated to the life and creative activity of Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur were announced. The winners were awarded corresponded diplomas and keepsakes.

At the end of the festive event, the participants of the event stressed the importance of the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag aimed at further strengthening bilateral partnership and wished every success to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Esteemed President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
