"World Hindi Day"

On January 10, 2025, in the main conference hall of the main building of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, the “World Hindi Day” ceremony was held with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, Embassy staff, and heads of the institute, teachers, and students. At the beginning of the ceremony, the rector of the institute M. Charyyev made an introductory speech. In his speech, he proudly noted that the main role in creating interest in the Hindi language among young people depends on the teacher, that the institute's teachers approach the issue of language teaching from a scientific point of view, constantly study international experience to keep up with the times, and participate in international forums and exhibitions. He also noted with pride that the cooperation established by the Embassy of the Republic of India in Turkmenistan with the higher education institution is of great importance in the in-depth study of Hindi by students.

Then the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat spoke about the importance of celebrating “World Hindi Day”. The Honorable Ambassador emphasized that the Hindi language is also popular in Turkmenistan, and that the teachers and students of this higher educational institution have a high level of knowledge of the Hindi language.

Then, students studying in Hindi gave a speech about the closeness of Turkmen and Hindi literature, the similarities of the cultures and traditions of the peoples. Reciting the translation of the poem of our Hero Arkadag "Treasury of Wisdom – Magtymguly Pyragy" into Hindi with great enthusiasm, reciting Magtymguly Pyragy’s poems translated by our Hindi language teachers, and poems of Rabindranath Tagore, Mkanlal Chaturvedi, Harivansh Rai Bachchan in Hindi, performing Hindi dance and Turkmen national dance – kushtdepdi by the students left great impression on participants of the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the essay writing and poetry translation competition held on the occasion of the "World Hindi Day" was summed up, and the students who won prizes were awarded.

The participants of the ceremony expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who create a wide range of opportunities for youth to learn world languages ​​and carry out extensive work to develop our country's scientific and educational system.
