Teacher of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages took part in the Central Asian Youth Delegation in the Republic of India
Rovshen Myratgulyyev, the teacher of the Theory and Practice of Translation Department of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages , visited the Republic of India from 22 to 28 March 2025 within the framework of the International Youth Exchange Program (IYEP). The visit was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India.
The programme, which involved 100 delegates from five Central Asian countries, was launched following a proposal made at the India-Central Asia Summit in January 2022. The initiative aims to promote youth cooperation, cultural exchange and strengthen diplomatic relations between India and the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
As part of the programme, the delegation visited the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and historical sites in the Indian state of Goa to learn about India’s architectural and historical heritage. They visited the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to learn about India’s advancements in technology, research and entrepreneurship. They also met with MY Bharat volunteers to discuss youth empowerment, leadership and innovation.
Meetings were also held with the Indian External Affairs Minister, the Chief Minister and the Governor of Goa, where the importance of youth diplomacy was discussed.
The Turkmen participants shared their unique experiences in implementing youth policies in their countries.
This visit to the Republic of India will serve as a catalyst for future cooperation, promote understanding between cultures, develop leadership skills and advance international cooperation in key areas.
