The Professional Level of the English Teachers Improved

To implement the order of the Esteemed President who said “A continual work should be carried out to improve the professional level of the teachers of the secondary and higher educational establishments” at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on February 7, 2025. Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages held a professional development training on the modern methods of teaching foreign languages for the English teachers of the higher educational establishments and secondary vocational schools of our country on May 5-10, 2025, in the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The methodical training on the modern methods of teaching foreign languages was conducted in the English language. Practical lessons were taught by the teachers of our institute and the online ones were taught by the counselor of Norwich Institute for Language Education, Norwich city, Professor Wendy Coulson and the director of the Institute of Scientific Research and Methodology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Professor Nguyen Ngok Wu.

The methodical training conducted to improve the professional skills was based on the extensive scientific data on improving English grammar, speech culture, and foreign language teaching methodologies.

Professional development courses provided a wide opportunity for the English teachers of the higher educational establishments and secondary vocational schools of our country to consolidate theoretical knowledge in practice. The improvement of various teaching methods will give the impetus to develop language skills of the younger generation and to modernize the educational and methodical base and the content of the foreign language teaching in the education system of our country.  

At the end of the courses the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen Nation Hero-Arkadag and oue Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating a great opportunity for the workers of education of our country.
