Professional Training Program on Central Asian Higher Education Cooperation held at Kangwon National University of the Republic of Korea

G.Saparova, a Korean language teacher of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, is participating in the Professional Training Program on Central Asian Higher Education Cooperation held at Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea, from January 7-15, 2026, within the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Science and Education between  Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Kangwon National University."

This educational program is aimed at attracting, supporting and sharing experiences in cooperation with international students, as well as promoting cooperation among students from Central Asian countries. The program includes general training sessions, group-based learning, and cultural and educational activities.

The curriculum of the professional training program includes activities designed to enhance the quality of Korean language teaching and to develop the professional skills of Korean language teachers. Key areas of focus include the introduction of modern pedagogical methods for teaching Korean to international students, the enrichment of teaching content, and the enhancement of teachers’ practical experience. To this end, effective methods of teaching the Korean language based on the teaching materials of Kangwon National University will be studied and put into practice.

Particular attention is also paid to teaching methods using Korean folk tales, cultural heritage, and educational materials. This approach allows students to develop not only language skills but also cultural awareness.

In addition, the program will conduct workshops for teachers to prepare for the international TOPIK test in Korean. These training workshops will focus on in-depth study of exam requirements, development of effective strategies for preparing students for the exam, and improvement of the assessment system.

In general, the planned activities will be highly valuable for participants, focusing on the development of Korean language teaching methodologies, the enhancement of teachers’ professional skills, and the improvement of language education quality within the framework of international educational cooperation.
