THE RESULTS OF EFFECTIVE SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION IN THE WORLD OF LANGUAGES

In our epoch of rapid progress, Turkmenistan’s education sector is consistently promoting the active development of international cooperation. This includes ensuring that youth gain experience at world-leading educational hubs and creating broad opportunities to master foreign languages at a proficient level. A clear testament to the multi-year, effective work carried out in this direction is the educational and scientific cooperation between Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the prestigious Kangwon National University of the Republic of Korea.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Scientific and Educational Cooperation signed between the two higher education institutions, the parties are successfully implementing multi-faceted cooperation. As a practical result of this ongoing collaboration, students from Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages have received the opportunity to participate in a one-year Korean language program during the 2026-2027 academic year at Kangwon National University, located in the city of Chuncheon, Republic of Korea.

This international study program serves not merely as a language-learning stage for students, but as a wonderful opportunity that opens new horizons for their professional and personal development. Conducting classes directly in a native language environment under the guidance of highly experienced Korean professors creates the conditions for students to advance their academic and practical speech skills to a high level. The program offers students broad opportunities to make extensive use of Kangwon National University’s rich libraries and digital educational resources, exchange mutual experiences with foreign peers, and deeply master the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Korea. Furthermore, practical classes and cultural-mass events will serve as a solid foundation for future specialists to improve cross-cultural communication, expand research directions, and develop into accomplished linguist-teachers in the future.

Such international programs make a significant contribution to enabling our country’s youth to receive a world-class education, develop their language skills, and steadily foster educational and scientific exchanges between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.
