Productive meeting
Due to the noble initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag, and under the wise leadership of our President Arkadagly Hero Serdar the prestige of the country in international relations is increasing day by day in the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State. Bilateral intergovernmental relations of the Independent and Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan with friendly countries, cooperation with prestigious international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union are becoming increasingly active.
The results of the intensification of the intergovernmental relations with these friendly countries is displayed in the work carried out at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.
Alexey Sanchez, the representative of the Political and Economic Department of the United States Embassy in Turkmenistan, met with the students of the Spanish language department of the European Languages and Literature Faculty of our higher education institution on October 15, 2024, at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, on the occasion of the Spanish cultural-heritage month, which is celebrated at the national level.
Alexey Sanchez, the representative of the Political and Economic Department of the United States Embassy in Turkmenistan, presented interesting information about the Spanish economy, culture, and the influence of the culture of Latin American countries on the United States. He expressed with great enthusiasm that the Spanish language is widely used in the United States, that this language is studied comprehensively, and that the country ranks to be the third in the world according to the number of Spanish speakers. He provided the students with a lot of information about Latin American countries, heads of those states, national symbols, their culture, art, and literature. He noted that the Spanish Cultural Heritage Month is celebrated at the national level from September 15 to October 15 this year since several Latin American countries gained their independence in September and October. Moreover, he highlighted interesting information about the famous culture and artists of Latin American countries in his speech. The students of the Spanish department engaged in an interesting question-and-answer session based on the content of the speech.
Alexey Sanchez, the representative of the Political and Economic Department of the United States Embassy in Turkmenistan, took a quiz prepared specially on the country study course for students after his speech. Souvenirs were awarded to the students who actively participated in the quiz.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who are implementing great work for the further development of Turkmen-Spanish cooperation.
