Turkmenistan – Republic of Korea: Humanitarian cooperation develops

Relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea are based on the principles of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding. The development of cooperation with this country is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. Our countries actively cooperate at the bilateral level, within the framework of authoritative international organizations, primarily the United Nations. In addition, cooperation is carried out at the regional level in the format of “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea”. This contributes to the activation of cooperation in the fields of science and education, as well as in such areas as energy, transport, ecology, healthcare, and culture.

Knowledgeable and educated youth are the strong pillar of our country in strengthening and expanding friendly and fraternal relations. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Esteemed President, all opportunities are created for youth to study and learn abroad.

Students of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages ​​were sent on a study tour to Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea, from August 25, 2025 to July 25, 2026, to participate in a Korean and English language program at Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea, starting in September 2025 for one academic year, within the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Science and Education between Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages ​​and Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea."

This opportunity will encourage students to further improve their language knowledge and use their accumulated experience in the future in the educational system.
