The start of the Russian Language School’s Educational Program “Teaching the Great” and “Learning the Great”
From 17 to 22 November 2025, Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages will launch the educational program “Teaching the Great” and “Learning the Great.” The initiative organized jointly with the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (Russian Federation) with the support of the “My History” Foundation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
The program is being conducted in accordance with the Interuniversity Cooperation Agreement between our institute and Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University and aims to strengthen academic, scientific, methodological, and humanitarian ties in the field of Russian language teaching. During these days, the institute will host two leading specialists from NCSPU: the Head of the Department of Russian and Tatar Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Konstantin Andreyevich Kalinin, and Associate Professor of the Department of Russian and Tatar Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Alexandra Viktorovna Potanina.
Throughout the week, students of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages will participate in open lectures and master classes on the Russian language. The Students will learn about the origins of Russian words, discuss the role of language in shaping national culture, and engage in practical exercises in semantic reading of Russian texts. The teachers will attend open lectures and seminars on current issues in Russian language teaching methodology. They will discuss innovative technologies for developing students’ reading literacy, examine approaches to in-depth study of the Russian language, and consider the methods for monitoring and evaluating educational outcomes.
As part of the program, NCSPU specialists will conduct a series of practice-oriented classes on Russian language and literature teaching methods for the participants of the Professional Development Faculty — teachers from comprehensive schools across the country.
The implementation of the Russian Language School’s educational program at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages is an important step in strengthening professional contacts, exchanging pedagogical experience, and developing the methodological culture of Russian language teachers. It also demonstrates the expansion of the institute’s international educational cooperation.
