A NEW ISSUE OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL ELECTRONIC JOURNAL “ISSUES OF PHILOLOGY” HAS BEEN PUBLISHED
The 3rd issue for 2026 of the scientific and methodological electronic journal “Issues of Philology” published by Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages has been presented to the scientific community. Published quarterly in Turkmen, English, and Russian, this international-level electronic publication not only gathers the scientific and practical research of our country’s linguists and pedagogical scholars, but also serves as an effective platform for exchanging experience within the global academic space.
The scientific and methodological articles on the pages of the journal, jointly prepared by the foreign experts and national specialists, stand out as a vivid fruit of cooperation. The content of the publication addresses crucial scientific issues in the social sciences, philology, folklore studies, language teaching methodology, and the digital educational environment. The articles analyze on a scientific basis the role of transport diplomacy – one of the key pillars of the foreign policy strategy of Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – in ensuring sustainable development, as well as the Avaza Political Declaration and its strategic importance in regional and sustainable international integration.
An article that analytically reveals the pedagogical foundations of the “AELLCA INSETT” pilot project dedicated to upgrading the professional qualifications of English language teachers in Turkmenistan along with its innovative approaches to providing continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers and the practical results of integrating international standards into the national education system, also stands out for its scientific novelty.
In the humanities research section, the typological similarities among the Turkmen, Uzbek, and Karakalpak versions of the folk epic “Nejep Oglan”, a cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, are explored. Furthermore, contemporary scientific research is widely featured across the pages of the journal, such as the lexical-grammatical transformation of language in the digital era, the interrelationship between terms related to the digital education system and general vocabulary, and the role of artificial intelligence and adaptive learning systems in developing foreign language listening comprehension skills.
One of the key defining features of the new issue of the journal is the expansion of its editorial board to include international-level professors and representatives of prestigious foreign educational institutions. The increase in the number of foreign authors and the expansion of the editorial board clearly demonstrate that the prestigious position held by the journal “Issues of Philology” not only in our country, but also within the international academic and scientific-methodological space is steadily growing stronger, while opening up a new knowledge horizon for the students, postgraduates, and researchers.
