ACADEMIC PRACTICUM OF KOREAN STUDENTS IN THE WORLD OF LANGUAGES

Within the framework of the international cooperation established in the field of education, Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages has been developing productive partnerships with numerous educational institutions abroad. The continuous expansion of such cooperation creates broader opportunities not only for Turkmen youth but also for young people from around the world. In this regard, in accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Science and Education between the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Kangwon National University, the visit of Korean students to the Institute this year to undertake their academic practicum is of particular significance. This clearly demonstrates that the Institute's modern material and technical facilities, highly qualified faculty, and extensive linguistic expertise provide excellent conditions for young people from various parts of the world to gain an in-depth knowledge of the Turkmen language, foreign languages, and the national culture of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the program, from 29 June to 6 July 2026, six students from Kangwon National University of the Republic of Korea are undertaking their professional academic practicum at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. The arrival of Mr. Kim Taewan, the responsible foreign representative accompanying this international group, also creates broad opportunities for enriching bilateral educational cooperation and the exchange of academic experience.

The curriculum of the program has been designed using innovative approaches. Throughout the practicum, the foreign students receive comprehensive instruction in English and Turkmen through specialized teaching methods. In addition, the visiting students regularly participate in discussion sessions with Turkmen students majoring in the Korean language at the Institute. These practical meetings enable students to improve their language skills through direct communication, exchange views on current trends in the educational systems of the two countries, and provide significant impetus for the development of future joint youth initiatives and projects.

Such educational practicums organized at a high professional level by our Institute, play a historically significant role in strengthening scientific and pedagogical cooperation with foreign partners, further enhancing the international reputation of Turkmenistan's education system, and elevating the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea to a new level.
