Turkmen-Korean humanitarian relations are being strengthened

Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the relations established with the Republic of Korea, and to the development of cooperation based on friendship, mutual trust, and mutual understanding, as a result of the successful implementation of the initiatives put forward by our Hero Arkadag, under the leadership of our Esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

On February 7, 1992, on the basis of diplomatic relations established between our country and one of the largest partners in the Asia-Pacific region, the Republic of Korea, the humanitarian sector, along with all other sectors, has become an integral part of Turkmen-Korean relations. In this sector, regular contacts have been established in the fields of education, science, and culture. In this regard, the organization of various joint creative events in both countries, the implementation of educational programs, and the promotion of relations between scientific centers are of great importance.

Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Selbi Batyrova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, participated in the international educational conference “Shared Future: Global Talents and Local Society” held in Seoul and Chungcheongnam-do, organized by Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea. At the conference, the representative of the Turkmen side reported on the current state of education and study of the Korean language in Turkmenistan. At the end of the speech, a short video clip about the teaching of the Korean language at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages was shown to the participants of the conference, which symbolizes the new level of development of relations in the field of science and education between the two friendly countries.

In particular, the tour organized for delegations of participating countries within the framework of the international education conference to the city hall of Chungcheongnam-do, Republic of Korea, and the keynote speech by the city mayor to the guests there made a great impression on the conference participants.

Within the framework of the international education conference, the representative of the Turkmen side met with the rector of Kangwon National University. During the meeting, the idea of establishing a master's degree program between Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Kangwon National University was discussed, and a number of specific proposals were made in this regard. This fruitful meeting confirmed the readiness of both sides to develop international cooperation in science and education.

At the end of the meeting, words of sincere gratitude were expressed to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who create broad opportunities for strengthening Turkmen-Korean cooperation in the field of science and education.
