Practical stage of interuniversity partnership
A group of the students from Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages went to Moscow to undergo intensive Russian language practice within the framework of the steady development of the international educational cooperation and the implementation of the academic mobility programmes.
The educational programme is being implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University. The internship will run from June 29 to July 5, 2026, and it envisages 72 academic hours of study by a specially developed programme aimed at improving students’ speaking, communicative, and intercultural competences.
Eighteen second-year students from the Russian Language and Literature Faculty, who successfully passed a competitive selection process, were given the right to participate in the international educational programme. The selection process consisted of two stages. During the first stage, participants completed a comprehensive test on phonetics, orthoepy, vocabulary, word formation, grammar, and the fundamentals of the Russian literature. The second stage included an assessment of the motivational audio presentations, speaking level, communication skills, readiness for the intercultural interaction, as well as learners’ academic and creative activity.
The speech practice programme was developed by Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the “My History” Foundation for Humanitarian Projects within the framework of the “Learning Great Language!” educational project. For a week, students will participate in the lectures and practical classes covering the issues of the modern Russian language, Russian literature, speech culture, history of the Russian word, literary local history, and the specific features of the Russian linguistic worldview. The classes will be taught by the Candidates of Philology Konstantin Kalinin and Galina Frolova, lecturers of the of Russian and Tatar Philology Department of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University.
A special place in the programme is taken by a cultural and educational component. Such combination of the classroom training and familiarization with the cultural heritage will allow students to broaden their understanding of the Russian language as an important element of world culture and more effectively apply their acquired knowledge in real-life communication situations.
The programme will conclude with a final assessment, a roundtable discussion of learning outcomes, and a certificate presentation ceremony for the participants. The knowledge and practical experience gained will promote a further improvement of the professional training of future teachers of the Russian Language and Literature, development of their communicative culture, and expansion of the international academic ties of the institute.
The participation of the students from the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages in the international speech practice programme is one more evidence of the institute’s consistent work to expand opportunities for academic mobility for the learners, to develop language education, and to strengthen relations with leading foreign educational institutions.
